OATMEAL COOKIES

Oatmeal Cookies

3/4 cup softened butter
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp molasses
3 tbsp sour milk
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
3 cups rolled oats
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins
Cream the butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time and beat well. Add molasses and mix.
Sift the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour milk to creamed mixture. Stir in the oats and raisins. I use a sheet of parchment paper on the baking sheets. Also used a small ice cream scoop (1 1/2 inch) and put mounds of the dough on the sheet. I did not press the dough down. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or till golden brown.
