I found this recipe for peanut butter goodness at katrinas kitchen. Easy and so delicious. Almost as good as Friendly Ice Cream topping. And you can make it yourself. It's thick, sweet and gooey. Top with a couple cut up peanut butter cups, some whipped cream and a cherry and you have a homemade peanut butter topped ice cream sundae at home.............
Happy Summer, Andi
1 (14) ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
1 stick or 1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
Combine all in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the butter is melted and all the ingredients are combined. This makes about 2 cups. Store covered in a container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. You can serve this warm over ice cream or serve cold. It's pretty thick so it may be difficult so I would warm in microwave for a little but make sure to watch it or heat on top stove in a saucepan with warm water. Stir to heat. Top with cut up peanut butter cups and whipped cream and don't forget the cherry. Enjoy
