Cherry-Almond Vanilla Cupcakes

Cherry Cupcakes were requested from Ms. Morgan.  I found these on Pinterest and found the recipe from Better Homes and Garden.   They are moist, made with my favorite, buttermilk and  full of cherry flavor.  Sweet Cherry Icing sitting on top with a cherry.   A whole cherry is place before baking in the cupcake batter.   Next time I will cut up cherries and add to the batter.  Had another idea how about cherry chips?   I have looked at several grocery stores in this area but came up empty. So the search will continue!

The new baking cups from wilton.com and reynoldskitchens  are bright and colorful and remain the same color after baking.  They are foil lined and are prefect.  I purchased mine at AC Moore.
